What are foods you used to believe were "healthy" that you no longer over indulge in?

For me, I always thought hummus was a "healthy food". When I lived at home, my dad used to buy me spicy hummus and I'd eat the entire thing in one sitting with a bag of pita chips, writing it off as okay because hummus is healthy, of course! Well, a container of the hummus is 700 calories. A bag of pita chips is roughly 600. I'd have this as a snack.

It took months and months of calorie counting and portion control to understand that what I once thought was just a harmless, healthy snack, was what I should eat in an ENTIRE DAY to lose weight. The habit of mindlessly scarfing down food till I had that full feeling died real fast.

Has anyone else had similar experiences, or any advice for people who are struggling to break off those habits? What were/are your "healthy" foods?
