Play up your strengths!

One of those cliches that you don’t really appreciate until you finally feel it. Be thankful for what you have and focus on the positives!!

I am so obsessed with having a flat stomach and the reality is in order to achieve the stomach I’d want I’d have to have a very strict and unrealistic (for me) lifestyle. Due to my body shape I carry most of my weight in my stomach and I’d have to get to the lower end of my bmi to be happy with my stomach, or possibly even get surgery due to some mild loose skin.

Since I carry most of the weight in my stomach, my legs/ butt and chest/ clavicle area have very little fat on them. This in conjunction with weight training has left my legs looking very muscular and toned. People comment on my legs all the time and I’ve decided that instead of obsessing over how my stomach will never truly be flat I will emphasize and find satisfaction in my legs when I’m wearing shorts, dresses etc. It’s nice to have a part of my body I’m super proud of! Be happy with and play up your strengths instead of dwelling on your least favourite body areas!
