Not too long ago I'd never have turned down candy, or anything for that matter. Hungry or not you better believe if someone came into my office and asked if I wanted a donut/muffin/candy/pastry/cupcake I'd say hells yes and take 2.
Today someone came into my office with some chocolates truffles. Nothing fancy or home made, just standard stuff you can get at Walys. I didn't even think about it, or argue with myself, or think "yes I want!" and then "No, you're on a diet, say no." None of that.
I just said "no thanks" without even really thinking about it. I had zero interest in any chocolate.
Also unrelated, I found 2 things that help me not snack that my help you.

I got sugar free, teeth cleaning gum. I chew it after each meal and it keeps me not thinking so much of snacking.

Snacking and watching TV is a big issue for me, I struggle to just watch tv or read and not also be snacking. But I got a half dollar and I've been teaching myself to roll it on my knuckles. I'm getting better, and playing with the coin in my hand seems to somehow scratch the itch that snacking used to do.
