With long breaks in between, losing some, gaining some I've lost 60 pounds in less than 2 years. But I'm at the lowest weight today. I took data and calculated my TDEE at different weights, the length of time to it took me to lose x amount of pounds, etc. I have done CICO, keto, PSMF, Ideal Protein. The results? I lost exactly the same amount of weight in the same amount of speed on ALL OF THEM. I kept cycling back between these diets or "lifestyles" and wow, it was really eye opening. I DON'T need to kill myself on all-protein diets or low carb diets. As long as I calculate my TDEE, deficit to lose a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time, it's ALWAYS, it's predictable. I literally gasped when I saw the numbers. It was exact down to a T.
I want to lose 12 pounds by Dec. 17th. That would mean a 2.5 loss/week with a weekly deficit of 8750. I know I can do it! You really can't defy/deny the law of physics!
Before I started to log, I thought logging was micromanaging, tedious and "no way in hell can I live like that? log every bit of food?" But I started to and it became second nature. Even periods of my life when I wasn't dieting, I would log. During Ideal Protein, I logged even when we didn't necessarily have to. During keto I logged. And it's so eye opening. People not losing weight are not logging accurately, eye-balling and/or or have other medical conditions because CICO cannot be defied.
Ive had a life-long battle with my weight and food. Ive come to realize that this is the only way to have a handle on it. TO LOG, be in a deficit and be aware. It's the only way.
Cheers everyone and good luck on your journeys!
