How can I convince my parents that I need to diet(/CICO) to lose weight?

Hey guys! I am 16, and since May of this year I have lost 40+lbs (I was 250ish, I am currently 200lbs). I want to loose 40 more lbs (I am 5’10, so 160lbs is a reasonable goal).

The way I lost the first 40lbs was through Gym. I didn’t diet, but I didn’t a lot of snacks/high calorie stuff.

But I am tired of going to the gym. I am just not motivated enough anymore (I went to gym at least 4 times a week when I did, now it’s only once or twice a week).

So I want to switch to a diet. I’ve seen a lot of people have success with this method called “CICO” and it seems like a perfect fit for me!

But my parents disagree with me, and courage me to eat (wtf), and tells me that I shouldn’t worry about what I eat as long as I go to the gym. But i’m tired of going to the gym. I’ve told them, but they keep saying “You’re too young to diet” “It’s unhealthy”

What is unhealthy is that, We eat Pizza once a week, and really really high calorie meals at home. When my parents cook, it’s always some high calorie meal, and I just want to switch to something else.
