SUMMARY: - In 2010, a Russian production company called “Red Square Studio” made their own version of Prison Break, and, surprise surprise, it was a huge success! The series, called Pobeg, had not only its own version of the original characters, but also a whole new storyline that better suits Russian reality. - Colombian producers and directors took note, and Sony Television in Latin America made the Colombian version of the famous Emmy-winning TV series, calling it Metastasis. - Any kid of the ‘90s remembers watching Power Rangers every Saturday morning. Ah, good times… Japanese kids experience the same level of excitement too with their version of Power Rangers called Super Sentai! - Big Bang Theory is one of the most successful sitcoms on American television. However, the exact duplicate version of it, called The Theorists in Belarus, was canceled after just the first season! - How I Met Your Mother is another American show that was re-made in Russia. But unlike Pobeg, here the creators tried to stick to the original version as much as they could. The actors even look almost identical! - In July 2017, the rather dark but still captivating TV show Criminal Minds was re-made in South Korea. And even though some fans of the show were skeptical about the idea, the Korean production and actors did not disappoint! - The U.S. adaptation and the U.K. original are quite similar, but nothing beats the first! The U.K. version is a bit more successful thanks to that classic British humor. Still, both versions are certainly worth a try! - Baby Daddy is an American sitcom about a 20-year-old guy who becomes a dad after a one night stand. The show first aired back in 2012 and has been going on for 6 years straight! Russia, once again, took note and made its own 20-episode version of it. - Come on, who hasn’t seen House? It’s a classic! As it turns out, there's another version of it that aired in Japan. These two shows aren't exactly identical, though, they just share a similar premise. - With the huge success of Sex and the City, it’d be a real bummer if there wasn’t a Bollywood version of the show, don't you think? And that’s where India’s 2007 Simply Sapney comes in! - If you miss Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross, take a closer look at the Iranian adaptation called Love Is So Close! It's an exact replica of the American original with the same apartment, furniture, story, music, and cast. But don't assume that there aren’t any surprises in store for you!
