Alcohol doesn’t have to ruin a day!

I’m a university student, so socialising is often clubbing or going to the pub. Since I’ve started my health kick, I’ve realised how detrimental this is to my caloric input.

To counteract this I’ve started putting in the max amount of alcohol I will allow for the evening (today was 5x G&T’s) and always make sure I leave a couple hundred calories free for the inevitable “I need food I’m drunk”

Tonight I had a break through, I drank 3 G&T’s (2 under my max) and felt satisfied, then rather than following friends to the takeaway I went home and had some almond butter on toast.

It’s such a small thing, but it’s make me appreciate the taste and enjoyment more and I’m so proud that I actually came home, thought through whether I needed food then chose something healthier.

And I ended the day 334 calories under budget!
