I started to lose weight 5 years ago, but never managed to get it down. I tried, I failed, I quit. Over and over, for years. I always went back to the same routines and ate terribly, never once attempted to change my lifestyle or habits.
Then, 3 years ago, I decided that I can't keep doing this to my body. I can't keep putting so much unecessary stress and pain on my body, just so I can do what? Eat unhealthy? Nah fuck that. My health started to deteriorate and I got scared, so it was Do or Die for me.
Now, 3 years later, I can happily say that this is one of my best achievements, I can actually say that I am proud of making this, and actually sticking to it.
Losing weight is so much more than just getting fat off your body. You have to change your habits, routines, not give in to greed and start binge-eating, and thats not even the worst part.
To all of you losing weight, It's absolutely worth it. Evey scenario you've built up in your mind about "I wonder how I would look in this" or "If I was skinny, would that girl think I'm attractive" will come true. Maybe not soley because of the actual weight lost, but also because of the mindset and confidence losing weight gives you.
